From The President
On behalf of our board of directors, I’d like to welcome you to MAPTA’s 50th Anniversary Year! I am honored to work with a group of talented individuals who are dedicated to promoting the piano teaching profession. We have an excited group of board members this year, and I would like to thank them for their service to our organization. I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity to represent our members during this celebratory year.
We have a lot to be proud of. As we enter our 50th year, we will look back on the history of MAPTA and how the organization has grown and changed over the years. We will continue to focus on connecting our membership and increasing our visibility in the community. We will work to evolve as an organization and create a sustainable future for forthcoming members and colleagues.
This membership directory describes the breadth of activities in which our members may participate, including programs and events for teachers, and recitals and festivals for students. It also provides a listing of our members and their specialties. Our newsletter, Nuances, delivers monthly updates on events and information, as does our Facebook page and website.
The board members and I would appreciate hearing from you and urge you to reach out to us via phone, email, or in person at one of our events. We also hope you will encourage anyone you believe could benefit from membership in our organization to consider joining MAPTA. We thank you for your membership and look forward to a rewarding and fun year as we celebrate our profession.
Mickey Lytle, President
