Welcome from the President

Dear Members,

Congratulations to the Madison Area Piano Teacher’s Associated as we enter our 39th year!  2007-2008 will be another exciting year for MAPTA.  We have, for 38 years, remained loyal to a common goal:  to strive for and realize the highest standards possible in the piano teaching profession.  MAPTA offers a Fall Workshop, our popular May Brunch, plus a vast array of recitals, resources, educational and professional opportunities serving both teacher and student throughout the entire year.

This directory is designed to serve as a primary resource for our entire membership.  You will notice some new features:  this year, we present a revised website for member and non-member use.  Please note our new web address:  MadisonPianoTeachers.org - the "dot org" part is especially new for us.  This website is "live" beginning late August 2007 - and updated once monthly, before the middle of each month.  Ultimately, the goal is to make this directory a primary resource for you.  And the website is your "online" link to updates within the organization.

My goal as president is to help us collectively foster a rich piano culture that resides in every neighborhood of the Madison area.  MAPTA is a wonderful organization of creative people willing and able to advance our thriving culture of piano performance and education through another 39 (+!) years.  Thank you all for your past and present commitment to MAPTA events, and your ongoing dedication to our profession.  I'm excited to serve as president of an organization with such a rich history and diverse membership.

Sincerely,

Shad Wenzlaff
President
